We’ve heard from so many of you that we’re back with another batch of Legendary Classic Car Stories!

Keep reading and learn about their special connection with the brand and their own classic car restoration experiences.

Best Garage Sale Ever

1974 Dodge ‘Hang 10’ Dart
Name: Bob Olsen

Year / Make / Model: 1974 Dodge ‘Hang 10’ Dart

How long have you had your classic car?
15 years

Why did you choose this particular car?
I found it unrestored at a garage sale.

Where is your favorite place to show off your classic car?
I like the Mopar car shows.

Any recent or upcoming classic car restoration projects you’d like to share?
I don’t plan on any more restoration projects, but I have done two other Darts: a ‘73 swinger and another ‘74 Sport with a 440.

Anything else you want us to know about your classic car?
I paid $900 for this ‘74 Hang Ten. It was all torn down with everything thrown inside, so I spent hours sorting through parts to determine what was what. The engine and transmission were intact. I did a tune up and that’s all original. I stripped the car down and had it painted by a local professional. I did the assembly seat and door upholstery, thanks to Legendary!

Could you tell us about your Legendary experience?
Besides the Hang Ten project, I have purchased seat covers and other parts for my two other Darts.

A Real Head Turner

1968 Dodge Dart GTSName: Dave

Year / Make / Model: 1968 Dodge Dart GTS

How long have you had your classic car?
I have three Dodge Darts. The first one was bought when I was a junior in High School—that would be 45 years ago!

Why did you choose this particular car?
At the time, I wanted a car that know one else had. It seemed like there were mostly Novas, Camaros, and Mustangs for the smaller body cars.

Where is your favorite place to show off your classic car?
Wherever I drive it! I just like turning the heads of people who like classic cars.

Any recent or upcoming classic car restoration projects you’d like to share?
Now that I have the car the way I want it—with its original numbers-matching big block 383 engine, the numbers-matching 4-speed and the car just like it was off the showroom floor—I have a 1969 that I am planning on putting a blown 426 Hemi in and run it on pump gas and be totally street legal. I am giving my other 1969 340 Dart (my first car) to my middle son, who is going to put it back together to race.

Anything else you want us to know about your classic car?
I just want to thank Legendary Auto for having interior products for Mopars.

Could you tell us about your Legendary experience?
The headliner I bought to put in my 1968 Dart GTS was perfect and looks like the original from the factory.

First Muscle Car Reborn

1973 Plymouth Scamp
Name: Fred A Bonadonna

Year / Make / Model: 1973 Plymouth Scamp

How long have you had your classic car?
30 years

Where is your favorite place to show off your classic car?
Car shows

Why did you choose this particular car?
It was my first muscle car at age 18.

Anything else you want us to know about your classic car?
It’s a 1973 Plymouth Scamp that I modified to look like the 1970 Dart Swinger 340 I had when I was 18. It is powered by 340 4-speed with a 4.10 Dana 60.

Could you tell us about your Legendary experience?
I ordered the door panels from Legendary and the customer service was excellent. I was able to come and pick them up at the shop. It was just an overall great experience from start to finish. If I need any other interior pieces, I will definitely be ordering them from Legendary Auto Interiors.
